An Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato Sanction III will be the star attraction at Bonham’s Goodwood Revival sale on Saturday 13 September.
One of only two Sanction III factory-approved cars built by renowned specialist RS Williams, the car has an estimate of £700,000-£1 million.
Following the Aston Martin factory creating four Sanction II cars in the 1980s with unused original chassis numbers, RS Williams was given permission to build its pair of Sanction III cars using spare Zagato bodyshells.
The DB4 GT Zagato Sanction III being sold by Bonhams is a one owner from new car with 44,000 miles on the clocks and comprehensive documentation from when it was built.
Tim Schofield, Head of Department at Bonhams|Cars UK, said: ‘The Sanction III is an incredibly rare and fascinating chapter in the Aston Martin story; a car that combines period craftsmanship with modern usability. Offered from long-term ownership and with an exceptional history file, ‘424/R’ represents a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike.’
