McLaren Famous Five for Silverstone Festival

Five of McLaren’s seven Formula 1 World Championship Driver’s title winners will be represented by their cars at the Silverstone Festival that runs from 22-24 August.

The five McLaren cars representing James Hunt, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Mikka Hakkinen, and Sir Lewis Hamilton will form part of the World Champions display. Cars from all 34 World Drivers Championship winners will be there going right back the start of the series that began in 1950.

McLaren has 12 Drivers titles to date, starting with Emerson Fittipaldi in 1974, followed by Hunt in 1976, and then Niki Lauda in 1984. Senna and Prost won six titles between them, while Hakkinen won two in 1998 and 1999. Sir Lewis Hamiltin took the title for the team in 2008.
