Most powerful Ferrari F40 up for sale

The most powerful Ferrari F40 built is up for auction in Monterey by RM Sotheby’s.

This 760bhp F40 is the 14th car of 19 prepared by Michelotti and this one was made to full GTC specification with larger air restrictors to free up more power from its twin Behr turbocharged V8 engine.

Other upgrades for the GTC-spec car include Brembo brakes, wider wheels, and a lowered ride height. There were also changes to the bodywork with a larger front spoiler, increased cooling vents in the front, an underbody venturi, and adjustable rear wing.

Completed in December 1992, this F40 LM was delivered to Walter Hamann of St Moritz, Switzerland. It was used on track but not raced, and the car gained Ferrari Classiche certification in 2009.

Prior to its sale, this Ferrari LM won a class award at the 2025 ModaMiami Concours.
