A 1917 Woods Dual Power Type 44 Roadster is being auctioned by H&H, with the proceeds of the sale going to the StarterMotor charity.
Fitted with a 1125cc petrol engine and auxiliary electric motor, the Woods hybrid car has been used by StarterMotor since 2021 to encourage younger drivers to experience classic cars.
In its present state, the Woods will need its 48-volt electric power source reinstating as this was removed during its restoration some years ago.
Woods Motor Vehicle Company was based in Chicago, US and built cars between 1899 and 1919. The Type 44 is capable of a top speed of 20mph on electric power and 35mph with its petrol engine.
