The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow celebrated its 60th anniversary in fine style at Brooklands as 174 of the SY model and its derivatives lined up to recreate a 1970 press photo.
Parked five abreast, the line of Silver Shadows, Bentley T Series, Corniche, and Camargue cars set a new world record for the largest number of SY models in one place.
The event was organised by the Middlesex Section of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club and was sponsored and supported by specialist Frank Dale.
Several of the cars taking part had been brought to the UK from abroad especially for the Brooklands event.
