Everrati partners with Raeon for new electric GT40

Electric vehicle specialist Everrati is partnering with battery producer Raeon to create a new power pack for the GT40.

Everrati’s redefined GT40 will now use Raeon’s ‘Any Shape’ battery technology that is optimised to make the most of the available space within the car to maximise energy storage and weight distribution.

Raeon’s Any Shape battery pack also allows for quicker development times of new models and, the two company’s say, is a more cost-effective approach than traditional battery technology for niche and low volume models.

Tom Brooks, COO of Raeon, said: ‘By combining low-tooling requirements with advanced simulation and a generative design pipeline, we can move to production with 90% fewer physical tests, accelerating time to market while maintaining exceptional quality.’

This new method for battery module construction significantly reduces tooling constraints and delivers both design flexibility and enables the ability to rapidly iterate solutions. Patent pending, batteries can be tailored to the available space.

The process also decouples design and manufacture from cell technology, allowing the adoption of the latest cell technology at any point during design, and in fact even during production.

Rhodri Darch, Co-CEO of Everrati, added: ‘The Raeon team have been a pleasure to work with, and their approach unlocks real differentiation for partners like us. This project demonstrates the significant growth of our B2B division, showcasing how Everrati continues to leverage the best technology to deliver tailored, high-performance solutions for our clients worldwide.’
