Newer generation classic cars will be a major part of Historics’ Pace of Autumn sale at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 20 September.
Sixty one cars out of 183 lots currently consigned are registered from 2000-on and there are some unusual entries, included a 2011 Tesla Roadster with an estimate of £48,000-£52,000.
The third-generation L322 Range Rover also features among these newer classics, with Historics offering two. One is a 2006 35th Anniversary model with an £8000-£12,000 estimate, while the other is a 2005 V8 Autobiography with unique Wimbledon Green paint estimated at £13,000 to £18,000.
A Jaguar X-type Estate that was owned by HM Queen Elizabeth II is another newer classic in the Historics sale and the 2009 car has an estimate of £20,000-£25,000.
Among the older cars in the sale, a 1981 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus Tolman Special is sure to attract interest even with an estimate of £140,000-£165,000. This car has been restored and sympathetically improved to an exacting standard by Tolman Motorsport at a cost of more than £200,000 and comes with a 265bhp engine.
