Members of the Caithness and Sutherland Vintage and Classic Vehicle Club gathered at John O’Groats in Scotland to celebrate it being the starting point for the Monto Carlo Historique rally that begins on Thursday 29 January 2026.
Ahead of the rally’s gruelling 1500-mile route the south of France, the local club enjoyed a day out in a variety of cars, including two MK1 Ford Cortinas, both of which have done the Monte in the past, and a Ford Anglia rally car.
Others present included a 1972 Mini, Chevrolet Firenza, Hillman Avenger, 1972 MGB GT, a 1969 Triumph 1300, Dolomite, Stag and 2000, Land Rover Discovery Camel Trophy Tribute and MG TD.
