RM Sotheby’s reports best ever Munich sale results

RM Sotheby’s enjoyed its best ever Munich sale results, which included the sale of the 22-car The Best of M Collection.

Top selling car on the day was a 1996 Ferrari F50 that fetched €4,843,500 (£4.2 million), while the highest price from the M Collection was for a 1990 BMW M3 Sport Evolution at €325,625 (£283,000).

As well as the BMWs from the M Collection, others to fare well in the auction included a 2022 M4 GT3 raced by nine-time MotoGP Champion Valentino Rossi that reached €646,250 (£561,300).

While modern supercars and hypercars dominated RM Sotheby’s Munich sale, older classics still held their own with a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB achieving €2,367,500 (£2,056,000). A 1957 BMW 507 Roadster Series II made €1,467,500 (£1,275,000).
