The only Aston Martin DB4 Series IV Vantage to be finished in Roman Purple is coming to auction at H&H’s Millbrook sale on Wednesday 3 December.
Built in 1962, the car was first owned by H Lotery & Co under the name of Wilburton Investment Trust Ltd and was delivered by Brooklands of Bond Street.
Registered PPA 2 on 1 June 1962, the Aston was specified in Roman Purple with blue/grey leather upholstery, heated rear window, electric windows, chrome wire wheels, and a 3.31:1 rear axle ratio.
The car passed through a couple of subsequent owners before being bought by former Isle of Man TT racer James Bridge-Butler, who went on to keep the car for 52 years up to 2021.
Following an earlier mechanical restoration, the bodywork was restored by Project Heaven Restoration and painted in its original Roman Purple.
It is being sold with an estimate of £375,000-£425,000.
