Renault auctioning off 100 heritage cars

Renault is sending 100 of its heritage cars to auction on Sunday 7 December as it reorganises its collection ahead of opening a new exhibition centre in 2027 for the remaining 600 cars in its classic fleet.

Many of the cars set for auction are surplus due to the collection already containing another example. This is why rarities such as the Renault 5 with Electro Pop Line branding is heading to the sale by Artcurial.

Among the lots are many Renault racing cars, including Formula 1 machines and an Alpine A442 endurance racer. There are also rally and touring cars available to buy.

Alongside the road and race cars, there are also 40 wind tunnel models, Formula 1 engines and memorabilia, and other items such as clocks, boats, railcars and prestige mock-ups.

Pierre Novikoff, Vice-President Artcurial Motorcars, said: ‘We are honoured by Renault’s confidence in us and excited to be organising an auction that will be remembered as a major event. We are offering collectors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: the chance to become a curator of this rich heritage.’
