Caterham gains Horse power for 2026 race series

The 2026 Caterham Academy race series is harnessing Horse power for the first time with an all-new 1.3-litre engine.

The HR13 motor is a four-cylinder unit and produces 163hp for the race cars taking part in the all-Caterham series of seven races.

Sponsored by Caffeine&Machine for 2026, the series has swapped to engines supplied by Horse Technologies.

Since it was launched in 1995, the Caterham Academy has seen more than 1400 drivers compete and the 2026 season will consist of one sprint race and seven 20-minute races with a grid of 30 cars.
