The Ferrari Dino 246 GTS bought new by renowned musician Steve Winwood is being sold at Gooding Christie’s Pebble Beach auction on 14-15 August.
Ordered by Winwood with the desirable ‘Chairs and Flares’ options, the car is one of only five GTS versions sold new in the UK in this specification. Winwood’s is unique as the only one of these five finished in Nocciola Metallazzato (Hazelnut Metallic) over black leather.
The 1973 car was restored around 20 years ago, when Winwood opted to change the colour scheme to dark blue paint with tan leather upholstery.
Sitting on the Campagnolo alloy wheels fitted from the factory, this one-owner 246 GTS served as Winwood’s daily car for the five years of its life with him.
It is being sold with a fully documented history and an estimate of $750,000-$1,000,000 (£560,000-£750,000).
