The Oulton Park gold Cup meeting will see a sale of motorsport, performance and classic cars sold by Hampsons on Sunday 27 July.
Among the lots is an MG Metro 6R4 built by Scottish rally driver Murray Grierson. It comes with a 2.5-litre Hart 420R engine and came third in the 1989 Scottish Rally Championship.
The GM underwent a complete restoration in 2023 and is eligible for Category 1 history stage events. It has an estimate of £90,000-£100,000.
Also included in the sale is a Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000 finished in Rothmans colours and built for track use. It’s being sold without reserve.
Other notable cars in the sale include a 1972 Ford Escort Mexico used by Chris Lord in the 1973 British Rally Championship that has a lower reserve of £40,000.
A 1988 Renault 5 GT Turbo Cup car with period hillclimb and race history is offered without reserve, while another Renault 5 GT Turbo Cup Challenge car is one of three originally built by Mark Fish and comes with an estimate of £15,000-£17,000.
A race-prepared Mitsubishi Evo 6 GSR has a pre-sale estimate of £20,000-£22,000, or you could opt for a 1963 Bond Equipe prepared for road rallying that is going without reserve.
