Porsche 906 set for Munich sale

A Porsche 906 Carrera 6 is set to be one of the stars of RM Sotheby’s Munich sale on Saturday 18 October.

One of only 52 customers cars, the 1966 Porsche 906 was delivered new to Porsche’s Dutch importer for its first owner Racing Team Holland. It was finished in the team’s orange colour.

With a 210bhp 2.0-litre engine in the 580kg car, this 906 made its race debut at the NAV National Meeting at Zandvoort on 24 April. Chassis 906-146 claimed a class win with William Loos driving.

The car is currently fitted with 2.4-litre engine from a Porsche 911 and also comes with an original 901/20 engine as part of the sale. It has an estimate of £1.56 million-£1.9 million.
