Renault Icons sale set for December

As part of its move to scale down its car collection, Renault is selling off some of its heritage cars.

The Renault Icons sale, run by Artcurial, will take place on Friday 7 December at Flins-sur-Seine, which will also become the permanent home of a forthcoming Renault museum that will be open to the public.

One hundred vehicles will be included in the sale, which will see duplicates go under the hammer.

Among the lots are 20 Formula 1 cars, prototypes, and road cars, plus there will be 100 items of memorabilia including F1 engines, design models, and wind tunnel models.

None of the cars being sold has ever come to market before, which will see a 1978 Renault Alpine A442 , 1982 F1 RE 30-B9 and 40-04, and F1 Lotus 95 T offered for sale.
