A unique Austin Seven-powered motorcycle is on sale from H&H with a price tag of £22,500.
The Pegasus is a 1928 machine that was built by an employee of Douglas using a transversely mounted Austin Seven engine.
It has a 1928 P&M/Phelon and Moore frame that originally housed a single-cylinder motor until the Pegasus was created by a Mr McCulkin, or possibly McCalkin, in Bristol where he worked for Douglas Motorcycles.
The present owner bought the Pegasus in 2016 from Geoff Squirrel, who had restored much of the bike but had left the engine alone as it was supposed to have been rebuilt.
It turned out the engine needed a rebuild, which was carried out by Austin Seven expert Harry Colledge at Thornfield Vintage. He converted the drive system to a belt drive and fitted a new crankshaft as part of the process.
