The 2026 Lydden Legend Festival will now be run on 12-14 June.
A change of date has been announced to avoid clashes with other events to help bring in competitors and spectators for one of the largest historic rallycross and rally meetings of the year.
The Anglo-French biannual meeting attracts a huge variety of machinery and Pat Doran, Lydden Legend Festival Founder, said: ‘We put a huge effort into committing to a date early that we thought worked for everybody, but as calendars for other events have come out, we felt we had no choice but adapt to the situation.
‘The focus has to be on the growth of Lydden Legend Festival and we hope by moving the date for 2026 that is giving owners, drivers and fans the best chance to enjoy what we are working hard to make even better than our first attempt. A big element of the consideration has been our relationship with Philippe Tollemer from Rallycross Legends Show in France and Patrick Germain and his team at Loheac in continuing this great concept. A lot of work is going on in the background and I know the whole team is excited to start announcing participants in the coming weeks.’
