Gumball Daytona for sale

The Ferrari Daytona Spider believed to have been used in The Gumball Rally film is up for sale via RM Sotheby’s.

The 1971 365 GTB/4 Spider was shown at the 1972 Los Angeles Auto Show finished in Rosso Chiara red.

After being enjoyed by its first owner for three years, the Daytona was sold to Warner Brothers Pictures with 19,863 miles on the clock.

The car was then used in the Gumball film and also A Star is Born, though both movies used a second Daytona as part of their production.

Following its sale by Warner Brothers, the car eventually was owned by Robert D Toney, and it now had a tan leather interior in place of its original black hide upholstery.

Toney and his family kept the car from 1983 all the way to 2017 when it was sold to a UK collector and gained a Ferrari Classiche certificate.

It has benefitted from regular maintenance and is now for sale through RM Sotheby’s for an undisclosed amount.
