One of only 17 Lamborghini Countach headed for auction

One of the rarest versions of the Lamborghini Countach is heading for sale on 16-17 May by Iconic Auctioneers following its showcase at Salon Privé London.

One of only 17 Countachs sold in right-hand drive form in the UK in 1988, this type of Countach is informally referred to as an ’88½’.

Though not a factory designation, the 88½ cars were the last of the Countach models before the Anniversary took over.

As such, these Countach LP5000 QVs cars were thought of as the most developed and best resolved thanks to improved airflow to the brakes and other revisions.

The car has a 5.2-litre V12 producing 455bhp for 0-60mph in just over four seconds and a top speed of nearly 190mph.

This particular car was supplied new on 4 August 1988 via Lamborghini London Limited, it is finished in Rosso with a Crema leather interior accented by red piping.

The car has an estimate of £550,000-£650,000.
