Three Porsche 356s will be among the big attractions at Bonhams|Cars’ Greenwich Auction on Sunday 31 May in Florida, US.
Topping the Porsche trio is a 1957 356A Carrera GT with an estimate of $500,000-$700,000 (£372,000-£520,000). It comes to sale in its original and rare Aquamarine Blue with black leatherette and corduroy upholstery.
Delivered new to a Cuban lawyer, the Carrera GT was successfully used in competition and has more recently been the subject of a 15-year restoration.
The 1956 356A T1 Speedster has a pre-sale estimate of $250,000-$300,000 (£186,000-£223,000), while the 1961 356B Super 90 Cabriolet is estimated at $200,000-$250,000 (£150,000-£186,000).
The Cabriolet is in its original factory colour of Signal Red with black leather interior, and it was delivered new to the UK. It still retains its original engine and has a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
Other cars in the sale certain to attract keen bidding include a 1991 Lamborghini Diablo with a $300,000-$350,000 (£223,000-£260,000) estimate and a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet that comes with an estimate of $280,000-$320,000 (£208,000-£240,000).
Ian Gabriele, Head of Sale for Bonhams|Cars, said: ‘The Bonhams|Cars Greenwich Auction is always a great bridge between our Miami and Monterey sales in the United States. Compared to those sales, we curate our Greenwich auction to provide buyers with a wide selection of beautiful and rare, yet accessible collector cars and motorcycles. From a Lamborghini Diablo to a one-of-two Dodge Viper SRT-10, to a Lotus Esprit V8 and a BMW Isetta, The Greenwich Auction will offer an eclectic selection of cars that will appeal to collectors and drivers alike.
