Ferrari book auction for Race Against Dementia

The first copy of Ultimate Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona has sold at auction for €2700 (£2300) to raise funds for Sir Jackie Stewart’s charity Race Against Dementia.

Sold at the Broad Arrows Auctions’ Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction, the book was the very first of a limited print run of only 1250 copies.

The two-volume book is a complete history of one of Ferrari’s most desirable models and is written by expert authors Luca Dal Monte, Simon Charlesworth and Keith Bluemel. Together, they spent three years researching and writing Ultimate Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona.

There are more than 550 pages and 700 images in the book, which costs £475 from Porter Press.

Philip Porter, founder of Porter Press International, said: ‘We’re delighted that this unique copy of Ultimate Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona has raised a substantial sum to support the important work of Sir Jackie Stewart’s charity, Race Against Dementia.

‘Porter Press will be releasing a series of new titles in the coming months and in partnership with Broad Arrow we look forward to auctioning unique copies of these books in support of important causes.’
