A broad selection of genuine Le Mans race cars will be auctioned by Artcurial at its Le Mans Classic sale on Friday 3 July ahead of the race weekend.
Among the lots is the penultimate Porsche 906 built that was entered in the 1966 24 Hours race driven by Cella and Biscaldi.
A 1969 Mirage M3 Spyder is another keenly anticipated car that will cross the block, with this example having won the Imola endurance race in ’69.
The 1972 Duckhams LM stands out for its sponsor livery and as one of the earliest cars designed by Gordon Murray. It competed at Le Mans in 1972, ’73 and ’74.
Other cars that will be sure to draw keen bidding are a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RSR, 1980 BMW M1 Procar, 1995 Dodge Viper GTS-R Oreca, and a 1991 Courage C28S Porsche Group C.
For those who prefer older machinery, there is a superb 1925 Bugatti Type 35 replica.
