A 1977 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow sold for a sensational £82,125 at H&H Classic’s Kelham Hall sale.
The time warp Rolls had just 604 miles on the clock from new and sold for £12,000 above its lower estimate.
It was joined in easily exceeding its estimate by a 2010 Bentley Brooklands Coupé formerly owned by musician Jay Kay. It made £147,375 to go £27,000 past its lower estimate.
Another Crewe-built car to surpass expectations was a 1993 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible that made £100,000 to beat its lower estimate by £10,000.
Other notable stars of the sale included a pair of Jaguar E-Types, with a 1967 4.2 Coupé making £9000 more than estimate when the hammer fell at £59,344. It was joined by a 1969 4.2 Coupé that sold for £34,875 to go £6900 above its lower estimate.
Adding some Italian flavour to the mix, a 1983 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole with only 20,000 miles from new went £27,000 above its lower estimate to sell for £92,250.
The sale saw 55 cars sold for a total of £1.7 million.
