The 27-car collection of Adrian Hamilton is heading to auction at the BRDC Classic at Silverstone on Saturday 25 July.
The Hamilton name is forever linked to Jaguar and the sale will feature a number of the Coventry marque’s cars, including a 1994 XJ220 with only 3800 miles from new.
A pair of Jaguar C-type tool-room copies built in 2016 are in the sale, with one built to emulate the Stirling Moss and Norman Dewis 1952 Mille Miglia car. The other car replicates the 1951 Le Mans winner.
A 2007 XKSS copy is another Jaguar being sold from the collection and this is the car used by Jaguar Classic’s Reborn Series as a pattern to produce its continuation models.
A 1973 Series 3 V12 E-type finished in rare Heather from new is another Jaguar in the line-up.
As well as the Jags, there are several Mercedes being sold, including a 1960 190 SL, 1989 300SL and a 2013 C63 AMG Edition 507 coupé.
Aston Martin is represented by a 1982 Lagonda saloon, 1998 V8 Coupé and a Series 3 V8 from 1974.
A 1960 Triumph Italia is a rare TR-based model, and there is also a 1968 TR5 alongside two Spitfires and a GT6 Mk1.
Five Mini Coopers are among the cars heading to the sale and there will be eager bidding for the 970 S, 1071 S and 1275 S models, as well as the pair of David Brown Remastered cars.
Lionel Abbott, Car Specialist at Iconic Auctioneers, said: ‘The Anthony Hamilton Collection is a superbly curated group of cars with real depth, quality and personality. From the Jaguar XJ220 and XKSS recreation to the Triumph prototypes, Aston Martins and Mini Cooper S models, it reflects a clear passion for British motoring at its most characterful. To present these cars at Silverstone, alongside the Hamilton Straight, feels entirely fitting.’
