The Lamborghini Diablo Roadster is the latest restomod development from San Marino-based restorer Eccentrica.
Its V12 Roadster uses more than 3500 bespoke parts to update the original Diablo Roadster into a more aerodynamic machine with a 550hp 5.7-litre V12 engine.
A revised ECU along with improved cooling and heat management has resulted in an engine that produces peak power at 7000rpm, delivering a top speed of 208mph and 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds.
The body has been subtly reshaped into a more aero efficient shape and is crafted from steel and carbon fibre, which is also used to make the chassis stiffer.
Revised suspension uses custom-made semi-active damping, and the steering and Brembo braking systems have also been updated.
Connolly leather is used to trim the cabin of Eccentrica’s V12 Roadster, as well as bespoke Alcantara and anodised aluminium parts.
Eccentrica founder Emanuel Colombini said: ‘The Eccentrica V12 was our opening statement. The Roadster is the next chapter; more exposed, more immediate, more demanding. No roof. No filter. Nothing between you and the machine.’
The Eccentrica V12 Roadster makes its debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during the Pebble Beach week on Friday 14 August.
